Ais Krim Malaysia
The first menu for Muhibbah Malaysia Monday is called, “Ais Krim Malaysia,” otherwise known as the Malaysian popsicle. I was quite happy when Suresh told me that I could write the recipe in Bahasa Malaysia but I am not sure whether Google translator could do a good job in translating, so it’s better to have another person translate instead.
Ais Krim Malaysia reminded me of my childhood, as I often bought them for 5 sen each. There were a lot of flavour to choose from, namely orange flavour, sweet rose essence, bubur kacang, asam boi, pineapple and sarsaparilla. Nowadays, you can get the popsicles for 20 sen each.
Reminiscing my childhood, I made some of popsicles to be enjoyed. This time around, I chose new flavours, mostly Malaysians’ favourite drinks; Ribena (blackberry flavour), Milo (hot chocolate), even kiwi and rose. All you need to prepare the popsicle is to get a long plastic tube as shown in the picture below.
Once you have poured the drinks into the plastic tubes, make sure you leave a space at the end, so that you could tie the plastic tubes neatly. Leave them in the freezer for a couple of hours before enjoying them.
***Thanks to my beloved "google"Muaaahhh:)
